So, I went to the movie theater and saw two movies today and loved both of them.

Coraline is a typical Neil Gaimian film. It's bizarre and a little bit freaky and just brilliant. I had a great audience, too, even with the kiddies in the theater. There is one part that's going to cause the Christian right parents to freak out. Everyone in mine just laughed, as far as I could tell, anyway. Also, I saw it in 3D, so that made it especially neat.

Push was really, really amazing. Dakota Fanning has lost none of her talent, and, though I wasn't impressed by Camilla Belle, she didn't annoy me. It was quite pretty and I really liked the music. It had a very neat premise, and it ended well, so if they want to do a sequel, they can. I don't know if they will.

I saw the Watchmen trailer on the big screen for the first time, and it was better than seeing any of the HP ones. *shudders* Happiness. Only 1 more month.

Speaking of trailers, I saw the trailer for 9 twice, the animated one not the musical, and my god do I want to see that movie. Go, go watch the trailer NOW! And... it comes out of my birthday, which will be awesome this year.

I've been listening to Sabriel and Lirael by Garth Nix. Wonderful. I've also been reading Kushiel's Dart by Jacqueline Carey, and it's overwritten like woah but the universe is pretty awesome and I'm enjoying the story.

I am absolutely addicted to the Kushiel's Legacy series. It is rather intense.

I really want to see both Coraline and Push so I'm glad to hear good things about them. It's always a let down when you really want to see something and then everyone says it sucks.
